Zhaolab postdoc position
The Zhao lab is seeking highly motivated undergraduate students, graduate students and postdocs to join the lab to study protein structure, ligands, functions and mechanisms through various computational methods. Our lab has close collaborations with multidisciplinary labs at iHuman Institute and School of Life Science and Technology, as well as labs outside of ShanghaiTech University.
1) Membrane protein ligand/drug discovery and mechanism study.
2) Enzyme substrate/product prediction and mechanism study; metabolic pathway prediction.
Please contact zhaosw(at)shanghaitech.edu.cn if you are interested.
Sali-Zhao joint postdoc position
The iHuman Institute at ShanghaiTech University was established to map, model, understand, and modulate cell signaling in human cells. The institute encourages interdisciplinary research combining chemistry, biology, imaging, and structural biology of the cellular components involved in signal transduction. Researchers also have a unique opportunity to integrate academic basic science and applied industry research. Professors Suwen Zhao and Andrej Sali at the iHuman Institute have a joint postdoctoral position available for integrative structural modeling of protein complexes. In particular, a candidate should be interested in the development and application of integrative methods for coarse-grained simulation of macromolecular processes. We are seeking outstanding candidates for this position. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and subsidized campus housing.
The postdoc will be supervised jointly by Professors Zhao and Sali, but spend most of his/her time at the iHuman Institute. He/she will also have a training opportunity at Professor Sali’s lab at the University of California, San Francisco. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and subsidized campus housing.
